This is the follow up to my Falafel recipe – no falafel meal is complete without the right sauces! Here’s a short 5 min recipe to get both these delicious sauces ready while your falafels are baking. You can of course use these sauces as dressing on salads !
- TZAZIKI SAUCE
- 1 full cucumber – grated
- 2 cup greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 cloves of Garlic (chopped)
- Cilantro or Dill (for garnish)
- TAHINI SAUCE
- 1 cup Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 2-3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 Lime – juiced
Grate the cucumber
Place it in a colander and squeeze out all the water (use paper towels to dry it out)
Mix the cucumber, yogurt, salt & garlic
Garnish with Cilantro
First add the Toasted sesame seeds in a food processor and grind it
Add 2-3 tbsp of olive oil and blend till it resembles almond or peanut butter in consistency
Scoop it out in a bowl
Add yogurt and lime and mix it – and DONE!
Pour into a mason jar and store in freezer or add on your falafels!
