Super simple, super easy! When we bought our house, the breakfast nook had these *ugly* stained glass pendant lamps. I was definitely going to get rid of them… and replace them. I even found affordable alternatives, $70 each…but then I decided to DIY it. And it cost me all of $13! Here’s what I had before: Here’s what I made:
Here’s what you’ll need:1. Tacky glue – $52. Manila Jute rope about 8mm wide. I got mine form Amazon for $8Â
Start from the top  smear glue on the top rim and press the jute rope down for a few mins till it holds on. Make your way one circle at a time, glueing ear ring to the ring above it. The only downside to this super easy exercise is you’re going to have to hold the rope for 4-5 mins each ring. My arms were hurting terribly after the first lamp, I needed to take a break! (no I’m serious). From here:

One down, one more to go.I took my husband’s help coz my arms were super tired from holding the first one up (around 45 mins)… but then he was distracted by the playoffs on TV,  and the glued rope kept slipping off the ceramic surface every few minutes. So I dismissed his services. Took a break and got started afresh on the second one. And here were are:
Super simple, super easy – and cost me all of $13, with rope and glue to spare! 🙂
